How do you prepare for a job interview? - tech4task4a

There are two types of people in this world who can never crack a job interview. First under confident, and second over confident. So, let's see what they think and what actually happens to them because of such thinking.

Type 1: Under confident

These people think something like - “I have already attended so many interviews and never have actually made it, maybe they don't even think of considering my profiles. They just see my face and cut my name out of the list.

Damn it! I am so unlucky!” Their this type of thinking eventually kills their confidence from inside.

Type 2: Overconfident

What really happens in their cases is they go for interview either watching some motivational videos or reading some motivational books.

They continuously tell themselves, "Here I am going for this interview and I will crack it anyhow. No one can stop me!” They consider this type of thinking as positive thinking.

However, in reality, these are just wishful thinking. Because if you ask them -

Why?

Why should you get the job?

Why not others?

Do you alone have the degree?

Or do you think you are the only one facing problems in life?

Are the others too dumb to get the job?

Then, why only you?

You won't get any answer from them. Or even if you get, those answers will be baseless. From the very moment they start to believe in their wishful thinking they also start building their own utopia, "Wow! Here, this is the company.

I will get this much salary. After I get the job, I am gonna do this, go there, buy that etc...." And as their utopia grows in their imaginations there grows something else also along with it.

That is FEAR. It grows automatically. No one can stop it.

"What If I don't get the job what am I gonna do?

How will I get married? What will happen to all that I have planned all these days? How will I manage money for my mum's medicines?

How am I gonna solve our financial crisis?"

These fears keep swooping upon them like ghosts and gradually destroy their confidence from inside; just like the under confident.

So, what is the right method to crack a job interview?

I am going to share with you the right way in three steps.

  • Step 1: Stop wishful thinking and start realistic thinking

The person who's gonna give you the job don't ever bother about your problems. Nothing really matters to him whether you want to buy medicines for your mum or want to buy a bike for yourself.

And these should not be his concerns. Because he is not doing charity, he is giving jobs. Therefore, the thing that's gonna matter to him is how can the company be benefited from your service.

So, forget about your losses or gains, forget about the job. Just think about how is the company going to be benefited by your service.

  • Step 2: Research. In this step you are going to do a research on the company

Visit their websites, study their products and services, study your job profile, study the post you have been called for. Then compare these points with your strength. Find out, what can you offer that will benefit the company.

  • Step 3: Be ready hundred percent to give your hundred percent

After you have done the research with your full effort, you are ready to go for the interview. Now your attitude should be like to get a partnership, not a job.

That is, your attitude should be like - if I get the job then it's going to be beneficial for both me and the company. But if I don't get it then not me, but the company will lose a valuable employee.

Your attitude and confidence should be just like this. And it’s not going to be based on mere imaginations rather it will be based on reality. Just as you will give 100 percent efforts to get the job, so will you give after getting the job.

The interesting thing is that when you will do all the research and other steps properly you don't have to tell the interviewer what you have done. He will be able to notice the confidence in your eyes.

If you follow these steps then you are going to get not only the job but also getting promotions in that company will become much easier for you.

Because, following these steps, you will become a master in your job. Therefore, even if the company shut down for some reasons, you won't need to worry about getting another job.

Because when you will be a master in your field, you will be easily welcomed by other companies.

I have got these ideas from the CHAPTER 7 of the book 'Think and grow rich' by Napoleon Hill and from Sandeep Maheshwari's video titled 'Realistic positive thinking'. If this video helps you somehow then please, share it with your friends.
